Ruby & Patricks Cool Vintage Inspired Yet Modern & Romantic Wedding At Mitton Hall In Clitheroe
Ruby & Patrick's Wedding at Mitton Hall in Clitheroe was a unique and special event. Due to some logistical reasons, they had to get married earlier than planned so that the registrars could leave. However, they recreated the ceremony later to make it official.
For this wedding, I had the talented second shooter Lucy assisting me. Together, we captured the beautiful moments of Ruby & Patrick's big day using Lomo purple film in my trusty Olympus MJU 1 camera. Despite the weather forecast predicting cold and rain, it turned out to be a stunning sunny day. We took advantage of this unexpected gift and even managed to get some breathtaking portraits during golden hour.
During the ceremony, the sun poured in, casting a lovely warm glow on the room. It was an emotional affair, especially because Ruby's mom couldn't be there. To honor her, they set up a beautiful remembrance table that added a touch of heartfelt sentiment to the day.
Ruby and Pat had a specific request for more 35mm film shots and no polaroids, which gave us the opportunity to showcase their wedding through a vintage-inspired yet modern lens. It was a chance for me to experiment and get creative, and some of the double exposure photos I took have become my absolute favourites.
The vibe of the wedding was relaxed and intimate, with hints of cool and modern aesthetics. The lomography purple film added a touch of colour and romance to the pictures, giving them a unique and dreamy quality.
Overall, Ruby & Patrick's wedding was a joy to capture. From the vintage red heart-shaped two-tier cake to the heartfelt moments and the creative photos we took, it was an experience that perfectly embodied the essence of love and celebration.
