10 Reasons why I Shoot Polaroid Photos At Weddings /Polaroids At Weddings/ Instant Photography

During each of the weddings I shoot, I try to shoot some instant film. Either Instax or Polaroids. I do this due to a number of reasons listed below but ultimately I love polaroids. I make it part of my packages to shoot film and cannot get enough of the vintage timeless look.

  1. Capturing Timeless Moments

Using polaroids captures moments in a unique way with the added aesthetic of nostalgic charm.

2. Instant Gratification

You get to see the photos immediately, they are then also sent to your address after the wedding and can be displayed in your home. There is nothing more unique than art made for you, of you, that can't be recreated.

3. Authenticity in the Digital Age: Polaroids offer a sense of authenticity and realness in an age of digital perfection.

Here here , I love this soo much. Rebelling against those perfect digital sharp HD photos and filters and bringing it back to the imperfect. Unpredictable and beautiful world of film and grain.

4. A Touch of Vintage: Incorporating Polaroids infuses a touch of vintage elegance into modern wedding albums

Exactly this, adding in and nodding to vintage whilst incorporating the modern in my wedding photography. Especially city weddings in Manchester, this style compliments those kind of weddings so much.

5. Spontaneity Unleashed: Polaroids capture candid moments, showcasing the raw emotions of the day.

Not only do I shoot candids throughout the day on my digital cameras, I can also get candid photos on my polaroid cameras

6. Physical Keepsakes: Couples receive physical prints that can be cherished, framed, or placed in albums.

Each one of my couples get their polaroids sent to them after the wedding. I’ve since become friends with my couples and when visiting their houses ive seen my polaroids displayed in their houses, it really is the best thing.

7.Artistic Freedom: Polaroids allow for creative experimentation, adding an artistic flair to your wedding portfolio.

This reason is exactly why I shoot Polaroid film, it adds art to your wedding day. Polaroid is unpredictable and it takes certain skill to shoot this way and understand the film.

8. Bridging Generations: Polaroids bridge the generation gap, resonating with older family members.

The amount of times I get told that they remember the polaroid camera from parents or grandparents using my SX-70 polaroid camera , and they will because it’s a genuine gamera from the 1970’s.

9. Artisanal Appeal: Polaroids showcase your dedication to craftsmanship in an increasingly digital world.

Absolutely, I love the physical nature of film and I never want to forget the craftsmanship involved and inspire others to use film to.

10. Elevating Client Experience: Offer clients a unique, multi-sensory experience with Polaroid photography.

You heard it here, I’m offering a different experience to what is out there with wedding photography in Manchester. Shooting 35mm film and polaroid film alongside my digital.
